‘Being Human’ über-baddie Mark Gatiss primes Entertainment Weekly for tonight’s finale
EW: Did you model him on a more traditional vampire?
Mark Gatiss: No, Toby gave me this fantastic description. He just sent me a text that said, “Would you come and play the King Vampire?” I said yes immediately. Then, he sent me the script for episode 7, which is where we arrive right at the end, and I have that wonderful line, “Well, who’s hungry?” It said in the description that I am dark as the night and older than dirt. I loved that. Also, brilliantly, Toby said, “Let’s call him Mr. Snow,” as if he’s so impossibly old he doesn’t really have a name anymore. He forgot it a thousand years ago.
Things you might not know about me: I’m a sucker for the stylings of anime.

John saw the glow radiating in the distance and Sherlock’s body lying slightly limp behind the truck. His mind was shaken, and air escaped his body in a panic.
“Sherlock…”
Suddenly the light became a blast, flickering and moving across Sherlock’s body. People rushed towards him, seemingly bewildered by what they were witnessing. He clenched the vomit in his throat that threatened to escapee; dreading the scene that he imagined to see. He saw Sherlock’s hand rise upward; reaching towards him like a blinding force.
“John, I’m regenerating… it’s this thing I do… like cheating death.”
I just reached “The Reichenbach Fall”……….
Preparing for endless amounts of tears.
I don’t know, I didn’t cry at all. Everyone told me I was going to, but I didn’t. Maybe that’s why I didn’t, because I was expecting to.
Or maybe I’m dead inside.
